How many sessions of therapy will I need?

Generally speaking CBT can be an effective form of therapy for most problems in between 6 to 20 sessions. I will assess you for your suitability for CBT approach initially, suitable alternative approach will be discussed and recommended if CBT not best choice for you. The number of sessions depends on the complexity of the problem you are experiencing, and your willingness, motivation and engagement to work with the homework and skills to practice given to you throughout the sessions. I will be able to give you an estimate of the numbers of sessions and prognosis for your therapy at the start of the therapy.

note: my clinical approach is more based on short term intensive work, while the role of my professional and personal skills and knowledge is undoubatly very important for your recovery. However my main task is to support, teach and help you with how to help yourself, Main focus is on practical advise and practical skills to be practiced, so your engagement,  willingness and personal responsibility you take towards your emotional well being is  likewise very crucial factor when it comes to therapy effectiveness, time duration and length.
