Online Individual interventions and treatment:

What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself.

What is online therapy?

Online therapy is the provision of professional mental health counseling services through the Internet. Services are typically offered via email, real-time chat, and video conferencing. Some clients use online counseling in conjunction with traditional psychotherapy, or nutritional counseling, and a growing number of clients are using online counseling as a replacement for office visits. While some form of tele-psychology has been available for over 35 years, the advent of internet video chat systems and the increasing penetration of broadband has resulted in a growing movement towards online therapy. Clients are using videoconferencing, live chat and email with professional psychologists in place of or in addition to face-to-face meetings.

How effective is online therapy?

Therapy sessions carried out on line have become increasingly common in recent years. More and more studies and research support the idea that online therapy can be as effective as traditional face to face sessions. By the end, in my Professional opinion it is a matter of personal choice, my sessions are all provided through live video meetings in real live so we are still able to see each other face to face however on a screen from a place that is of convenience for both of us.

Feel free to search Google about effectiveness of online therapy and make a personal decision based on your own values, interests and opportunities.

Please note:

all research on effectiveness and success of therapy and treatment outcomes support the idea that one of the main factors for therapy success is the relationship and the trust formed between the clinician and the client.  Empathy is an essential ingredients in the recovery and healing, a clinicians empathy toward their client plays the role for forming a therapeutic relationship likewise clients ability to form relationships. In other words chemistry and relationship ( therapeutic alliance) combined with a high motivation and engagement in recovery are more likely associated to therapy success than logistic matters.
