What is CBT?

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It has been proven to help treat a wide range of emotional and physical health conditions.

It is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, CBT looks at how we think about a situation and how this affects the way we act, in turn our actions can affect how we think and feel.

What is DBT?

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) was first developed for treating borderline personality disorder, DBT has proven effective as treatment for a range of other mental health problems especially those characterised by overwhelming emotions. Research shows that DBT can improve your ability to handel distress without losing control and acting destructively.

It is designed to help people change patterns of behavior that are not helpful, and overal to learn more effective and healthy coping skills. for leaning DBT concept you need to build skills in four key areas: distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
